NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town of Watson Planning Board on May 15, 2024 at 6:40pm. Said hearing will take at the Town of Watson Municipal Building, #4 Road, County of Lewis, State of N.Y. Purpose of this public hearing is for a proposed minor subdivision of Glenn Rd, tax ID 199.00-01-10.000

LEWIS COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE
Town of Watson Public Notice is hereby given that the Town of Watson Zoning Board of Appeals, Lewis County, will hold a public hearing as required by the Town of Watson Zoning Law. The hearing will be held to hear all interested parties and make a determination on the following applications Application # 051324-ZBA- 002, Paul Gatley, Parcel ID 216.00-02-08.000, 6556 McPhilmy Rd, Lowville, Construction of a 6’x10’ covered porch along the front side of camp. Application # 051324-ZBA- 003, Matthew Brinkerhoff, Parcel ID 119.00-04- 33.000, 10454 Soft Maple Reservoir Loop, Croghan, Demolition of existing 23’x16.5’ camp and Construction of a 28’x32’ new camp in the approximate same location with appropriate side setback. Copies of these applications are available for viewing at the Town of Watson Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours.
Said hearings will be at 6:30 pm on
Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Town of Watson Town Offices, 6971 Number 4 Rd, Lowville.

To all dog owners in the Town of Watson:
New York State Law states that any dog over 4 months of age must be licensed in the township which it resides.
The Town of Watson Local Law #3 of 2010 for the Town of Watson, Section 4 states, All dogs in the Town of Watson unless otherwise exempted, must be licensed with the Town Clerk by the age of 4 months and are required to present Certificate of Rabies at the time of licensing or the renewal of an existing license.

Rabies Clinic
Lewis County Public Health and Countryside Veterinary Clinic
are sponsoring a rabies vaccination clinic for all dogs,
cats and ferrets 3 months of age or older.

Constableville Fire Hall - May 6,2024 7pm-8pm
Copenhagen Fire Hall - May 8, 2024 - 7pm-8pm
Harrisville Fire Hall - May 13, 2024 - 7pm-8pm
New Bremen Fire Hall - May 15, 2024 - 7pm-8pm
Osceola Town Barn - May 16, 2024 - 5pm-6pm
West Leyden Fire Hall - May 16, 2024 - 7pm-8pm
Lyons Falls Fire Hall - May 20, 2024 - 7pm-8pm
Lowville Town Barn - May 22, 204 - 7pm-8pm

A $10 donation per pet is suggested to defray the cost of the vaccine and clinic staffing.
Please have all dogs on a leash and cats & ferrets in a carrier or strong pillowcase/sack.
Please provide a record of previous vaccination.
All pets must be vaccinated (minimum 12 weeks old), even if an indoor pet.

HEARING OF COMPLAINTS

Notice is hereby given that as of May 1, 2024, the Assessor(s) of the Town of Watson , County of Lewis, have completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year, and that a copy has been left at Town Clerk’s Office where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until Grievance Day.
The assessor(s) will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll at the
Watson Town Offices, 6971 Number Four Road, Lowville, NY 13367 on the following days:
Monday, May 6 4pm – 8pm, by appointment only
Saturday, May 11 1pm – 5pm, by appointment only
Monday, May 13 4pm – 8pm, by appointment only
Monday, May 20 4pm – 8pm, by appointment only

The Board of Assessment Review will meet on May 29, 2024 at the following times:
4 pm to 8 pm
at the Watson Town Offices, 6971 Number Four Road, Lowville, NY 13367 in said town, to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any persons believing him/herself to be aggrieved.
(Application for filing a complaint and instructional booklets are available from your assessor, town clerk, or the Lewis County Real Property Tax Service Agency.)
